Ayuntamiento

18th Century

This palace used to belong to the influential bourgeoisie. The former Moratalla Council, in the need for a meeting place to exercise its administration and justice functions, had previously had several different headquarters until it was finally installed here in the 1980s. The simple style palace still conserves the balconies and the marble staircase characteristic of stately buildings. The former owner of this building, Doña Rosana, belonged to one of the city’s upper-class families.
